Shalom Baptist Church

Pastor Rick Stapleton has a passion to share Jesus Christ with people who will in turn share their passion with others. He comes to Shalom as a graduate of Bethel Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree. His work experience includes serving on the mission field as a teacher in the Philippines as well as working as an adjunct teacher at a Christian college. He served as an intern pastor to junior high students and most recently served as senior pastor to churches in Grand Rapids and Fosston. Pastor Rick and Marcy Stapleton live in Hutchinson with their five children, two who are attending college.

Robb Ammermann, Youth Pastor

Stuck on Stupid...

Yep! Robb was "stuck on stupid" in high school because his main focus was on being a star basketball player. Sure, he had accepted Jesus into his heart, went to Church, and prayed. But, he hadn't made Jesus #1 in his life until... the basketball coach cut him from the team his senior year in high school because of his cocky attitude, and well, he just wasn't that great of a ball player. This tipped Robb upside down and everything got blurry! God became clear when Robb fell on his face and laid the pride down... and gave God his plans. Then God did something AWESOME! Robb was accepted into a Christian music team that traveled to places like Africa, India, Indonesia, and the West Coast of the USA proclaiming Jesus for the next two years of his life! He went from being "stuck on stupid" to a "new kind of Christian". Jesus taking the #1 spot in Robb's heart and calling him to reach youth with the Love of Christ.

While preparing to become a soul winner at Northwestern College, Robb met and married a cute little Country Kitchen waitress (ask him about this story) named Jennifer in 1994. He graduated from Northwestern College, St. Paul in 1995 while Jennifer was finishing up her degree from Bethel and graduated in 1996. In the past 11 years of marriage, Robb and Jennifer have been blessed with 2 cute kids (Morgan & Ben), moved 7 times, and experienced many great adventures from God! Now they are so excited to be planted at Shalom Baptist Church and are ready for God's great adventure here!

Adam Krumrie, Worship Pastor

Adam has been interested in making music since he was three. Over the years he learned piano and trumpet, then taught himself guitar in high school, which is also when his passion for the Lord grew. After high school, Adam developed the heart of a worship leader as he became responsible for leading and making disciples of the youth in his former youth group, and was given experience in other churches.

Adam attended Northwestern College in Roseville in order to become a music minister. He led worship in Anoka and Brooklyn Park and at Northwestern, then after graduating with a B.A. in Music, served in West Bloomington before coming to Shalom. As Shalom's Worship Pastor, Adam says God is "continuing to shape my heart and teach me what it means to be a true worshipper of Him."

Adam is married to "the most beautiful woman I know . . . my best friend" Ginny. They have two beautiful sons, Josiah and Conner and their newest addition, Elizabeth Joy.
