The Children’s Ministries of Shalom exist to work alongside families as they strive to raise their children in a manner pleasing to God.
We desire to help guide each child to a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ and to assist in giving each child godly life habits.

We offer a strong ministry to children ages birth through 5th grade. Our programs include the following:
Angel Haven (0-3 years old)
Program Administartor: Ginny KrumrieThis ministry is available for ages infant to 3 years old during both the 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday morning worship services and the 9:45 AM Sunday school hour. There are several dedicated caregivers who minister to the children through playing, reading, singing, and prayer. Our desire is for the nursery to be a positive stepping stone to Sunday school and the worship services.
Children's Sunday School (2 years old-5th grade)
Program Administartor: Doug MurphyThis ministry is available for children ages 2 years old through 5th grade. This program meets on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45. The children are organized according to ages and school grade to provide maximum interest and activity for all children. There are 8-12 dedicated teachers who provide loving instruction about the reality and character of God and the truth and relevance of the Bible.
Release Time (2nd-5th grade)
Program Administartor: Sue MillerThis ministry is available to students in 2nd through 5th grade who attend Park Elementary and New Discovery Montessori in Hutchinson. From October through April, every Wednesday morning students are bussed from Park and New Discovery to Shalom. Home schooled children can be dropped off at Shalom. While at Shalom, students receive about 45 minutes of instruction in topics such as Missions and Worship from dedicated teachers.
Kids ROCK (3-year-olds (by Jan. 1, 2007) -5th grade)
Program Administartors: Ginny Krumrie, Laurel McKeever & Gina Bashans
This ministry is available for children ages 3 through 5th grade. This program meets on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 PM. Kids participate in corporate singing and worship, then break into station groups that explore cooking, art, science, games, story telling, making videos, computers and music. Children are organized into groups of about 10 and are led by 1 to 2 leaders.
